इस संकलन से पता चलता है कि सस्ती छपी किताबें भी कितनी सुरुचिपूर्ण हो सकती हैं। प्रभात और सुशील की कविताएं बहुत अच्छी हैं। अच्छी किताब का फोर कलर में होना कतई ज़रूरी नहीं। प्रोइती राय के चित्रों में बच्चों के चित्रों की सी सहजता है।
हर लिहाज़ से उत्कृष्ट किताब। एक बच्ची एक पिल्ले से इतना जुड़ाव महसूस करने लगती है कि वह हर समय उसी के बारे में सोचती है और उसे घर लाना चाहती है। माँ शुरू शुरू में बहुत संवेदनशील नहीं है, लेकिन धीरे-धीरे मोह में पड़ी बच्ची की मनोदशा समझ उसे घर ले आने को तैयार है। अंतिम पन्ने पर शब्दों का अचानक चले आना एक नया और सुखद प्रयोग है, जैसे अंतर्मन में चल रहे भाव अचानक शब्दों से छुए गए हों। चित्रों में बच्चों के चित्रों की सी सहजता है जो कलात्मक युक्ति के रूप में सामने आती है।

It places content in context and helps children become familiar with animals that live in our country. The rhyme, illustrations and colour palette offer vibrant visuals that will get children hooked.

Adil communicates through sign language, or as his friends see it words dancing to the and music within him. The book does not glorify Adil. Instead, it portrays him as a child who cannot hear but is able to communicate differently from other children around him. The illustrations play an enhancing role in this book.
