Diversity in Children’s Library & Collection

About Theme:

Today, more than ever, we need to affirm and preserve our multi-lingual and multi-cultural society. Children must grow up respecting and understanding others who may look different from them and have different beliefs, customs and religions. Parag believes multicultural literature fosters positive self-esteem, has the ability to nurture respect, empathy and acceptance among all students. As such the roles of children’s literature and libraries become critical.
