Children’s literature holds the power to inspire young minds – igniting imagination, fostering empathy, and nurturing a lifelong love for reading. In recent decades, Indian children’s books have become increasingly rich, diverse, and creative. While this growing body of work is being recognised and celebrated through various awards, most are chosen by adults – experts, educators, publishers, or critics – without involving the audience the books are written for: children.
The Parag Children’s Choice Award (PCCA) has been created to change that. It invites children to share their own thoughts and preferences about the books they read. This award puts young readers at the centre – giving them the space to express what they like, how they feel, and which stories speak to them. It aims to help children build a joyful and lasting relationship with books. As adults, it also reminds us to truly listen to what children think and feel about their reading experiences.
Would you like to be part of this journey and hear directly from your children and readers?
If yes, the Parag Initiative warmly invites you to participate in the Parag Children’s Choice Award – Hindi 2025: a space where children read, reflect, and vote for the books they love the most.

We’re excited to share the books chosen for the Parag Children’s Choice Award – Hindi 2025 Longlist!
Each year, the Early Reader and Young Reader titles featured in the Parag Honour List Hindi would form the longlist for the following year’s Parag Children’s Choice Award (PCCA). These books are submitted by publishers and then go through a careful, independent jury review lasting several months, with multiple reviews determining the final list. As a result, the PCCA longlist will comprise high-quality long-list of books with which children would be invited to engage.
The PCCA Hindi 2025 Longlist has been selected from the Parag Honour List 2024 – Hindi, ensuring that participating children engage with high-quality books that are well-written, beautifully illustrated, and enjoyable.
