The arrival of a puppy that is hurt complicates model student Amit’s life. He ends up forgetting to do homework and is forced to rely on the much reviled excuse of the puppy eating homework. A simple, humorous little story that is a very typical day of a young child. Children love books about animals, and this book captures the most apparent and intimate aspects of children’s relationship with animals. The excellent illustrations bring out the personalities of Amit and the injured puppy very well.
