Atanu Roy received the Big Little Book Award, illustrator category, in 2016. He has worked as a political cartoonist for many media houses. While in college he did his first book on the history of transport in single color detailed drawing in ink. His illustrations spread across decades, in magazines, advertisements and illustrations for children and adults. Atanu’s eye for detail makes his work most outstanding.
As an award winning illustrator, Atanu encourages budding illustrators and artists to find a voice and identity through their art. Art being an ever evolving space, building connections and communities to strengthen youth has been much of his interest. He has contributed significantly to the artistic growth of young illustrators and a mindful orientation towards illustrating for children.
